Compassion 479 (formerly Compassion NWA) a separate 501 c3 non-profit organization birthed from Cross Church to serve the needs of our community. Our primary focus is Feed 479. In 2023 we served over 229,000 people 3.5 million pounds of groceries equating to excess of 2.5 million meals. This was accomplished through a choice food pantry operating four days a week, three mobile pantries a month- beginning a fourth in 2024, and various other food distribution opportunities throughout the year. We are funded from a thrift store located at 3157 Sunset Avenue in Springdale, open six days a week from 9am-6pm. Our 10,000 sq. ft. showroom provides Northwest Arkansas with clean, gently used apparel, accessories, home décor, and furniture providing resources for feeding the food insecure. Included in our network is Threads women’s boutique located at 216 S. 1^st Street in downtown Rogers.
