Feed 479 (formerly Feed the 479) is a free, choice food pantry where our friends and neighbors select the food that best fits their family's needs. We serve over 265,000 people, distributing 3.3 million pounds of groceries, which equates to an excess of 2.8 million meals per year. Services include our choice food pantry that operates four days a week, three mobile pantries a month, and supplying the VA food pantry with needed grocery items to assist our local veterans and their families. We are able to accomplish this through support from Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, various corporate partners (Aldi, Dollar General, Harps, Sam’s Club, Tyson Foods, Walmart, Elevation Reality), financial contributions, and dedicated volunteers.

Choice Food Pantry

As a means to provide the most dignity to our pantry shopping experience, we have made available a reservation system to allow our friends and neighbors to schedule an appointment here on our website up to four weeks in advance. We also offer an order-ahead option and welcome walk-ups during our hours of operation. Please arrive early to receive your designated shopping time. All you will need to bring with you is your identification card to set up your initial visit, and then you will be given a member card.

We serve all who request food. We ask for some information from our guests to be sure our services are meeting the needs of our community. When you come in for your first visit, we will ask a few questions to create an account for your household, and then we will provide you with a member card to speed up future check-ins. If you have lost or do not have your card, there is no penalty. We can create a new one for you, or check you in manually.
